Joint Family the latest band to hit the circuit and Delhi's first Nu Metal act. Why the name? Well, according to the members... the band is a mix of various artists...hence the name-Joint Family. The band is Akshay,Amwan,Shardul and Sainani from Cyanide and Clarence from Level 9.The band's inspirations run in the lines of Slipknot, Korn, Deftones, Coal Chamber, Mudvayne, Fear Factory and Stone-Sour. With lack of any nu-metal band in Delhi, Amwan and Sainani formed Joint Family when they met Clarence who got his friend Akshay to do the vocals. With Shardul Cyanide's joining them on the drums... the rest as they say is "history".
Their debut gig was on the 8th of January this year at the Ego Café, where they were received with a good crowd response. Since then they have never looked back playing at A.I.T Gurgaon,Amity Business School's Annual Fest and also played at Aasra with bands like Helgas Funk Castle and Zero. But the biggest performance would definitely be the NSIT prelims, where their went on to qualify for the finals. As for their future plans, Joint Family will be a band with great originals for their album and be the best nu-metal act in the country.
