ROCK @ JRO 2005 AND FIGHT CHILD LABOUR!

‘Acts of Mercy' has moved beyond ‘Tsunami rehabilitation' and is now focusing on rehabilitating the underprivileged community in Mamallapuram and the surrounding villages.

A Community Development Center was opened on May 14 th , 2005 by Indian Cricketer Mr. L. Balaji. The Center has 4 classrooms and provides training for children who cannot afford school. Classes are on:

• Spoken English
• Basic Computers
• Health
• Vocational Training For Widows & Single Women
• Community Service at large
• For children that are employed illegally, AOM is working with the parents and orphanages to put them back into school!

BUILD THE CENTER
The need of the region is enormous and long-term is the way to go. AOM has finally acquired a small plot of land at Mamallapuram to build a Center that would meet our long-term vision to enhance the quality of life for the community we serve .
Here's the plan; we need all the help we can get to build this Center. We have donor coupons of ( Rs 100, 250, 500 & 1000) for you to contribute to build the Community Center.

CHANGE TO WIN – SAY NO TO CHILD LABOUR is our catchphrase for this drive. Victims of child labour have no decision-making powers, but you and I have, so lets speak up.

Say yes to education and no to child labour.
